We must not rest until this goal is achieved. I do not want my great grandchildren to live in a country like we have today. I wish for them to live in a country where differences of race and culture are not ignored but valued as a part of what makes America great.

  • Birthright Citizenship: President Trump signed two executive orders on Thursday targeting birthright citizenship. He and his top advisers said one was intended to prevent non-U.S. citizens from giving birth in the United States in an attempt to gain citizenship for their newborns. The second order expands the definition of who does not qualify for birthright citizenship. 

  • Head Start: The Trump administration said that it would move forward with a plan to eliminate hundreds of regulations governing Head Start, a program that helps the nation’s most impoverished children."
