"The suicide rate among black children has nearly doubled since the early 1990s, while the rate for white children has declined, a new study has found, an unusual pattern that seemed to suggest something troubling was happening among some of the nation’s most vulnerable citizens." Why would anyone be surprised by this. As Black children integrate in predominantly white and often racist environments pressures on them rise exponentially. Being Black in America is hard, being a Black child in a predominantly white environment can drive a child to suicide. Racism is real folks. Unfortunately a large portion of White Americans still choose to live in serial rather than look into a mirror.
